San Francisco Decompression

Saturday, October 19 through Sunday, October 20: The annual San Francisco Decompression will be held at Potrero Power Station. Event will take place from 2 p.m., Saturday to 4 a.m., Sunday. For more details, visit burningman.org/events/san-francisco-decompression-2019.

A street closure of 23rd Street between Illinois Street and the easterly terminus will be required from 6 a.m., Saturday to 6 a.m., Sunday.

Potrero Hill Festival

Saturday, October 19: The annual Potrero Hill Festival will take place in the Potrero Hill neighborhood from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri streets. An attendance of 8,000 is expected. For event details, visit http://potrerofestival.com/.

The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

  • 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri streets
  • Connecticut Street between 19th Street and southerly terminal
  • Missouri Street between 19th and 20th streets
  • Intersection:  Connecticut and Missouri streets at 20th Street

Wharf Fest

Saturday, October 19: The annual Wharf Fest and Chowder Competition will take place at Pier 43, Jefferson and Taylor, and on Little Embarcadero between Taylor and Powell from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more event details, visit http://www.visitfishermanswharf.com/events/wharf-fest.

A street closure of Little Embarcadero between Powell and Taylor streets will be required from 1 a.m. to midnight, Saturday.

Firefighters Stickball Tournament

Sunday, October 20: A stickball tournament to benefit the San Francisco Firefighter Cancer Prevention Foundation will take place on Green Street between Columbus and Grant avenues beginning at 9 a.m.

A street closure of Green Street between Columbus and Grant avenues will be required from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday Streets: Excelsior

Sunday, October 20: The last Sunday Streets event of the season will be held in the Excelsior District. The route includes the bustling outer Mission merchant corridor from Theresa Street and Avalon to Geneva Avenue. The route will open the roadway to people walking, bicycling and other recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday Streets is free and open to the public. The following street closures will be required from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

  • Mission Street between Geneva and Avalon avenues
  • Intersections: Amazon Avenue, Onondaga Avenue, Seneca Avenue, Russia Avenue, Leo Street, Ruth Street, Norton Street Harrington Street, Santa Rosa Avenue, Excelsior Avenue, Francis Street, Cotter Street, and Tingley Street at Mission Street.

Cross traffic will be allowed on:

  • Persia Avenue, Theresa Street, Avalon Avenue at Mission Street

Mission Street traffic will be diverted to Alemany Boulevard:

  • Northbound traffic at Geneva Avenue
  • Southbound traffic at Silver Avenue

Access to Safeway will only be allowed from Italy Avenue.

Conference at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium

Wednesday, October 23: The Rakuten Optimism Conference will take place inside Bill Graham Auditorium between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. For event details, visit https://optimism.rakuten.us/agenda.

A street closure of Grove Street between Polk and Larkin streets will be required from 6 a.m., Tuesday, October 22 to 4 a.m., Thursday, October 24.

Chase Center Events

Events at Chase Center

Basketball Game

  • Friday, October 18: The Warriors will play their third pre-season game against the Los Angeles. Game will start at 7:30 p.m.

Concerts:

  • Saturday, October 19: Marc Anthony will be performing at the Chase Center. Show will begin at 8 p.m.

Street Closures

To accommodate events that will take place at the arena, the following street closures will be enforced two hours before and one hour after each event:

  • 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
  • Northbound 3rd Street between 16th Street and Warriors Way will also be closed approximately 30 minutes before an event ends and 45 minutes after an event ends.

Taxi Stands

  • Taxi Stands are located on Terry Francois Boulevard, one northbound and one southbound.
  • Ramp taxis should use the loading zone on eastbound Warriors Way (formerly South Street) at Bridgeview Way.

 

Cruise Ship Schedule : October – December

Typically passengers begin to disembark 45 minutes after the ship arrives and unloading continues for a couple of hours.
